The Automated Tool Inventory Control and Tracking System
(ATICTS) is the answer for complete Tool and Measuring Equipment
control. ATICTS is currently the tool control solution for
General Dynamics, Westinghouse, Litton, Dresser Industries,
Consolidated Edison of NY, Salt River Project, Delta and
Northwest Airlines, the US Military, and many others.
ATICTS Features
ATICTS Base System
- Facilitates rapid checkin and checkout of tools,
fixtures, parts, and perishable items with complete data
capture via bar codes.
- Comprehensive tracking and reporting by employee of tool
and perishable usage, loss, and breakage. Automatic
generation of overdue/overlimit notifications.
- On-line locate and find capability for all items.
- Complete security at all menu items to guarantee that
only those who are approved have access to important data
and features.
- Automatic notification of desired Minimum/Maximum
inventory violations.
ATICTS Optional Modules
1) Tool Kitting
Allows a group of tools or items to be checked out with
one bar code. Scheduling of kits prevents factory or site
slowdown due to stock outs.
2) Calibration Tracking
Incorporates calibration scheduling and tracking into the
system. Calibration recall notices are automatically
generated and addressed. Complete and permanent calibration
records are kept.
3) Qualification and Safety Licensing
Ensures that only qualified/licensed employees can
checkout certain items.
4) Advanced Bar Code Reports
Provides the ability to print and use bar code embedded
reports and tool catalogues. This feature greatly expedites
"pick list" generation and assembly.
5) Purchasing
Incorporates complete purchase order generation into the
system. Greatly improves the efficiency of min/max
re-ordering.
6) Enhanced Reporting
Allows for tracking by vendors, machines, and departments.
Will also allow for item checkout to an individual and/or a
floor location/address.
7) Multi-Crib Feature
Allows for multiple cribs/inventory locations to be
on-line simultaneously with complete query capability into
each crib. Inventories and reporting can be done by crib or
consolidated.
8) Manufacturing Tracking
Designed primarily for the Aerospace industry, this module
is used when very specialized tools/fixtures/jigs require
tracking from the design phase through to disposal. Tracks
current drawings, revisions, modifications, and site
location. Complete usage history is maintained. Combined with
the Portable Reader Feature, this module allows for random
on-site location/status updates.
9) M&TE (Measuring and Testing Equipment) Usage Tracking
Designed primarily for the Nuclear Power Generation
industry, this module provides a comprehensive system for
tracking necessary calibration/usage data at the point of
issue and return.
10) Reservation Feature
Permits unlimited reservations/planning entries against
all categories of tools. Ideal for ensuring 100% tool
availability for future projects.
11) Portable Reader Feature
Utilizing a portable bar code reader, this
feature permits mobile checkin and checkout of items as well
as mobile inventory wanding. Information is automatically
downloaded into ATICTS files.
12) Rigging Tracking
Tracks load test and capacity of rigging gear (i.e., hoists
and slings).
13) Repair History and Cost Tracking
Allows for complete repair history and cost tracking.
Designed for Utilities and others who need to retire/scrap
items based upon total cost history.
14) Weld Wire Rod Tracking
Provides Employee and Job level tracking of Weld Wire and/or Weld Rod issuance, its return and actual usage. Includes
tracking of heat #, job #, and issue ticket numbers.
15) Web Enablement
Allows users to access parts of ATICTS via an Intranet or
the Internet by using a standard Web Browser. Functionality
includes tool and item issuance queries, placing and filling
reservations, kitting, and management reporting.

- On-Site
Training/Installation and Hot-Line Support
- Data Enterprises offers training for both new and existing
ATICTS customers. Generally, new customers require one to two
weeks of on-site training and installation support. Existing
customers usually require only one week of on-site or off
site refresher training. Data Enterprises also provides Hot-Line support to all
current ATICTS Licensed customers. In most cases,
the ATICTS Hot-Line support is all the end-user needs and no
on-site computer support is needed.
